Excavation Equipment Operator Jobs on the Kenai Peninsula
Join a growing excavation team where effort and attitude matter more than your resume.
Why Work With Us
Apex Excavation is a small, growing company, and that means real opportunity for the right person. We are looking to bring on an equipment operator or foreman, and we are more interested in attitude, effort, and willingness to grow than we are in a long list of past experience. If you show up, work hard, and want to build real skills, there is a path here.
We treat people fairly. Compensation starts at or slightly above industry standard and increases as you grow with the company and take on more responsibility. We are also actively working toward things like profit sharing on projects and a take-home work truck for employees as the business continues to grow, so joining now means growing alongside the company, not just filling a seat in an already established structure.
- Compensation starts at or above industry standard
- Pay grows with your skills and production
- Real path from operator to foreman and beyond
- A company still building its benefits as it grows, with you as part of that growth
Open Positions
Equipment Operator / Foreman
We are currently looking for an equipment operator or foreman to join our crew. This role is a fit for someone who wants to run equipment, take ownership of job sites, and grow into a leadership position as the company expands.
Experience running excavation equipment is valuable, but we place just as much weight on reliability, communication, and a willingness to learn our approach to the work.
- Operate excavation equipment on residential and light commercial projects
- Take ownership of job site quality and safety
- Work directly with the owner as the company grows
- Room to grow into a foreman role over time
Expectations
We move at a high pace, and we expect the people on our crew to match that energy. That does not mean cutting corners, it means showing up ready to work, communicating clearly, and caring about the quality of the finished product the same way we do.
Safety is not optional. We care about everyone on the crew getting home safe at the end of every day, and that expectation applies to how we run every job site, not just how we talk about it. We also expect honesty and accountability. If something goes wrong on a job, we want to hear about it early, not find out later.
Life on the Team
Apex Excavation is a hands-on, fast-paced place to work, and we try to make it an enjoyable one too. We joke around and have fun while getting the work done, and we take care of our people, including buying lunch on Fridays and keeping drinks on hand for the crew.
Because we are still a small team, you are not just a number here. You work directly with the owner, your input matters, and there is a real opportunity to grow into a bigger role as the company takes on more projects and equipment. We are looking to build a team of skilled, reliable people who want to grow with us, not just punch a clock.
- High pace, hands-on work environment
- Direct access to ownership and decision-making
- Friday lunches and on-site drinks provided
- Real opportunity to grow into a leadership role
